States and corporations are trying to take control of artificial intelligence (AI), but this will only stifle the potential of the technology, former US National Security Agency employee Edward Snowden said on June 5 at the SuperAI event in Singapore.

As noted, governments around the world, including the United States, are working on their regulatory approach to AI after popular services revealed the potential of this technology. The European Union (EU) has passed sweeping legislation that will place restrictions on the technology, while in China no company can produce artificial intelligence services without the appropriate permits.
